Saudi Arabia, UAE & Pakistan have the maximum number of Indian prisoners in jail, according to data released by the Minister of State Ministry of External Affairs Gen. Saudi Arabia has a total of 1,400 Indian prisoners, followed by UAE (985) and Pakistan (468).
Other countires which also have a large number of prisoners include Untied Kingdom (430), Nepal (377), Malayasia (332), etc (refer map below).
Overall, the total number of prisoners stood at 5,986.
